Nigerian Association For Biblical Studies (NABIS)

NABIS publishes its flagship journal – African Journal of Biblical Studies (AJBS) – twice a year in April and October. Aims of AJBS are:

Promoting Biblical research in Africa and disseminating the result of the research.

Providing a forum for discussion and exchange of information and ideas on current issues in Biblical research.

Relating interpretation of the Bible to the life situation in Africa and African societal problems.

Encouraging Biblical scholars to look afresh at the Bible with an African insight, relating their inspiration to the past and the prevailing situation of the Church in Africa.

Providing useful resources / materials for research and teaching Biblical Studies in Africa.

Providing up-to-date information on new development in Biblical research both in Africa and elsewhere.

Notes on Submission of Articles:

Authors are to submit articles not exceeding 25 double-spaced pages on A4 paper. Electronic submission in Microsoft Word format is preferred. The Journal also accepts book reviews, new book advertisements, conference notices, research notes, and titles of doctoral theses.
